This fund was created in memory of Annette Turow's mother, Vivian Marcus. Vivian was a talented teacher, admired and respected among her colleagues. Judaism played an important role in her identity and moral code. Vivian passed away in 2008 from ALS. Since the creation of this biennial lecture fund in 2011, the program has hosted Carol Zemel, Sara Blair, and Ken Freiden.
