The Initiative in Holocaust, Genocide, Memory Studies (HGMS) hosted a one-day symposium on Friday March 1, 2019 from 9am-5pm in Levis 210 . This second annual symposium drew graduate students working in different fields with diverse interests from across the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This symposium showcased the diverse and brilliant work within memory studies (broadly conceived) that students are doing at the university. It was an opportunity to share ideas and resources, to schmooze and connect. It also allowed students to practice presenting conference papers and to receive invaluable feedback from faculty and other graduate students.
