Miri Rubin is Professor of History at Queen Mary, University of London. Her interests cover a wide range of social relations within the predominantly religious cultures of Europe between 1100-1600, with a particular il)interest in anthropological approaches to late medieval history. She is the author of Charity and Community in Medieval Gambridge (1987), Corpus Christi: The Eucharist in Late Medieval Culture (1991), and most recently, Gentile Tales (1999), a study of desecration narratives in the late Middle Ages.
