Sander GilmanThe second Krouse Family Visiting Scholar in Judaism and Western Culture lecturer was Sander Gilman. At the time of this event, he was the Henry R. Luce Professor of the Liberal Arts in Human Biology at the University of Chicago. He gave a public lecture on the origins of cosmetic surgery among Jews in the 19th Century Europe.
