In the Shadow of Benya Kirk? Jews, the Street, and Socialism in 1920s Odessa

Professor Steinberg (History UIUC) works on 19th and 20th century Russian history and is the author of many books including The Russian Revolution,  Petersburg Fin de Siècle, and Voices of Revolution, 1917. On Monday Professor Steinberg will discuss a work in progress entitled “In the Shadow of Benya Krik: Jews and the Street in 1920s Odessa."
