Our first HGMS student performance was spectacular. Ethan Madarieta produced SUBMersion Remember: A Performance of Memory. During this hour-long multi-media performance Ethan baked bread (he brought in a portable oven) so there was an olfactory aspect to the experience as well; wordlessly he also submerged pieces of photographs into masa and hung them up to dry while a video played of sand dunes behind him.
